Sunday nights are tough around here; more than often we are exhausted by all the craziness that we cross path with on Saturday and the early hours of Sunday. By the time sun starts to melt down we are done too, by we I am mostly referring to me and sometime my husband; kids well they are kids and their energy tank Is always full! Thank God!!
I have been thinking of getting serious with some sort of exercise routine, my 30’s bone really can use some regular routine. I really won’t mind rather would love if I can get some glow to my skin that has started showing signs of life’s madness. Sometime I think how beautiful the whole art of aging is; it is like a well-played orchestra, as the time passes our bodies and soul get kissed and caressed by it. We age, sometime we get scared but mostly we get wiser. Sometime I want to re-live the absolute nonsense of my teens but then on the very next moment I want to celebrate the person I am now. Everyday teaches me something, a line of age keeps on getting added to my once perfectly young and toned skin but these lines defines me and makes me stronger. I proudly admit that my fading 30’s are one of the best years so far and I am already looking forward to 40’s. Yes aging is an art indeed and every passing year makes us beautiful!
Coming back to my our past Sunday night dinner; we picked some rotesstire chicken on our way back from the city, I was too tired to do anything let alone dress up a chicken for oven. There was an open bag of spring mix waiting to be consumed hanging around leisurely in the refrigerator, but not enough to satisfy all four of us, so I decided to make my super quick and no recipe Steamed Broccoli; it was just what we need to complete the fiesta. Dinner was really simple, yet utterly satisfying. Sunday dinners don’t have to be perfect every time, they don’t have to be an event. I have learned that everything doesn’t have to be perfect, it is ok to be lost or shuffled at times. Perfection is a myth, life is reality and that’s what happens on our dinner table every day!
Literary there is no recipe here, just a little method that I use to make perfectly steamed broccoli every time. We like eating our broccoli with some salt and sometime a little sprinkle of lemon juice but if you want to the chic route add some light dressing of your choice.
